Who's Who in North Florida HOBY, 2008

Steven Hall, North Florida HOBY Seminar Chairman

Steven is 1997 North Florida HOBY and World Leadership Conference alumni from Malone, Florida. He has volunteered in many capacities with HOBY at the North Florida Leadership Seminar and World Leadership Conference over the past eight years. This is his third year as Leadership Seminar Director for the North Florida Leadership Seminar.

Steven grew up on his family's farm outside of Malone. He attended Chipola Junior College and continued his undergraduate education at the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Food and Resource Economics in 2003. Steven continued his education at Samford University receiving a Master's Degree in Environmental Management and a Juris Doctorate from Cumberland Law School in 2006.

Stacey Hall

Stacey attended the North Florida HOBY seminar in 2002. She has been a volunteer with North Florida HOBY since then, and this is her second year as the Director of Team Alumni.

Stacey grew up on her family's farm in Malone, Florida. She attended Chipola College, and will graduate with a degree in Finance from Florida State University in April. Her hobbies include cooking, watching SEC football, dancing, going to the beach or the lake, and spending time with her family and friends. Stacey is getting married in July.

Cheree Suttles

Cheree attended the North Florida HOBY Seminar in 2005. She has been a volunteer with North Florida HOBY ever since then serving as a member of Team Alumni in 2006, Co-Emcee in 2007, and as a Recruitment Assistant in 2008. She volunteered at the HOBY World Leadership Conference in 2007 as a member of the Programs Team holding the position of Speaker Coordinator. Cheree is from Pensacola, Florida and currently attends the University of Florida where she is studying Political Science.


Tiffany Newsome

Tiffany graduated in 2005 from the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Animal Biology. She is currently attending the University of Florida, College of Veterinary Medicine and will graduate in 2009 with her Doctorate Degree. While not a HOBY alumni, she has volunteered with North Florida HOBY for the past two years and has fallen in love with the program. Tiffany is also active in the alumni chapter of her sorority, Sigma Alpha, and is currently serving as Vice President. She enjoys spending time with her friends, family, her two jack russells, Gabbie and Minnie, and her four cats.

Neal Brown

Neal attended the North Florida HOBY seminar in 1996. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School in Jacksonville, Fl in 1998. Neal has been an active volunteer with North Florida HOBY since 1997 and is currently the Director of Operations for the North Florida Seminar.

Neal spent over 8 years in the Florida Army National Guard, 146th Signal Battalion. He has worked with multiple local government agencies and is currently employed with Saint Johns County, BOCC with their Management Information Systems (MIS) department. He also has volunteered to manage the North Florida HOBY website and update it as needed. Neal's free time is spent riding motorcycles and working with the North Florida Sport Bike Association promoting motorcycle safety.


Valerie Jones

Valerie represented Blountstown High School at the North Florida Seminar in 2003 and has been a volunteer since 2005. She is currently serving as Co-Director of Recruitment.

After graduating from Blountstown, she attended Chipola College for one year then transferred to the University of Florida. She will graduate from UF this summer with a degree in public relations. In her spare time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her friends, reading, acting in student films and swing dancing.
